Our story

Darcy’s Doodle Works is an online gift shop where you can create that perfect personalized something that shows how much you care. We named it after Darcy Doodle, our 14-year-old rescue that’s still a puppy at heart. We are Sue and Darrel and are the proud owners of this shop and we look forward to doing business with you.

Our first experience with the value of a personalized gift happened 29 years ago at our wedding. Instead of handing out the usual wedding favor that most people end up throwing out, we gave out personalized wedding mugs. These glasses can still be found in our friends and family’s kitchen cabinets.

Almost two decades later, we laser engraved quotes on beer and wine glasses for gifts for our friends because we were sick of handing out impersonal gift cards and feeling extra nostalgic after celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. People are still talking about their gifts from that holiday season and bringing them out to show off every chance they get.

We want to help someone else rescue their own Darcy Doodle, so we will be donating a portion of the proceeds from each order you place to the Hudson Valley SPCA.
